At the Etihad, Manchester City came from 1-0 down to thrash Burnley City 4-1 to advance into the next round of the FA Cup.
City came from a goal down to eventually sail past a determined Burnley in the FA Cup third round.
The Manchester Blues had gone in at the break trailing to the Clarets but dug deep in the second period with two Sergio Aguero goals in two minutes swinging the game City’s way.
Further efforts from Leroy Sane and sub Bernardo Silva sealed a hard-fought, but ultimately impressive win.
CHELSEA 0-0 NORWICH
Championship side Norwich held a much-changed Chelsea to a goalless draw to earn an FA Cup third-round replay.
The hosts had the better of the first half without creating a clear-cut chance, Josh Murphy drilling well wide, while Alex Pritchard could not capitalise on an error from the returning David Luiz.
Premier League champions Chelsea improved after the break with William stinging the hands of Angus Gunn and Davide Zappacosta volleying just wide late on.
Murphy's volley was also deflected wide for Norwich after Willy Caballero's poor punch but neither side came close to a breakthrough.
Antonio Conte brought on club-record signing Alvaro Morata for the closing stages but the out-of-form striker did not have time to make a difference.
It means a replay at Stamford Bridge - in the week commencing 15 January - for the Canaries, who are 13th in the second tier.
HULL CITY
Super Eagles defender Ola Aina was the hero for Hull City as he scored the only goal in their 1-0 away win against League One side Blackburn Rovers in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
The win saw Hull halt a run of five straight games without a win.
Aina scored in the 58th minute to send Hull into the fourth round of this season’s FA Cup.
It is his first ever goal for Hull since joining them on loan from Chelsea last summer.
