City are now just two finals away from becoming the first English side since Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United in 1999 to complete the treble -- the first is the FA Cup final against United at Wembley on June 3, followed by the Champions League final against Inter Milan in Istanbul on June 10.

Nottingham Forest 1-0 Arsenal.

Nottingham Forest secure Premier League survival and confirm Man City as champions with a 1-0 win over Arsenal. Taiwo Awoniyi scored the only goal. Defeat leaves the Gunners four points behind City with one game left to play.

Nottingham Forest secured their Premier League survival at a buoyant City Ground with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Arsenal which confirmed Manchester City as champions.

Arsenal, four points behind City ahead of kick-off, needed to win to keep the title race alive, but could not recover after Taiwo Awoniyi struck his fifth goal in three games in the 19th minute.

Forest defended superbly from then on, limiting the listless Gunners to a handful of half-chances and clinching a deserved win which takes them to 37 points, putting them out of reach of Everton and Leicester as well as already-relegated Southampton.

For Arsenal, meanwhile, the defeat was a continuation of their 3-0 reverse against Brighton last weekend, their title challenge running out of steam with another poor performance which allows City to claim the crown with three games still to play.

Liverpool 1-1 Aston Villa.

Liverpool's seven-match winning run ended by Aston Villa at Anfield. Ollie Watkins missed a penalty before Jacob Ramsey fired Unai Emery's team in front. Roberto Firmino got his fairytale ending at Anfield, popping up with the equaliser

Liverpool's winning streak ended in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.

With Manchester United winning 1-0 at Bournemouth, Liverpool are three points off their rivals in fourth but United still have two games to play, so it looks very unlikely they'll be playing Champions League football next season.

With Jurgen Klopp watching on from the stands following his FA ban, Ollie Watkins had already missed a penalty when Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring (27) for Unai Emery's excellently organised side who were on the verge of becoming just the second team to win at Anfield in the Premier League in the last 42 fixtures.

However, Klopp called for Firmino and James Milner from the bench - both who are leaving the club in the summer - and it was the brilliant Brazilian, who was in tears at full-time, that forced home the equaliser with stoppage time approaching.
