ARSENAL
Holders Arsenal needed extra-time as they booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory against Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium.

Substitute Emile Smith Rowe had a straight red card for a challenge on Sean Longstaff at the end of normal time downgraded to a booking by Chris Kavanagh after the referee consulted the pitchside monitor.
And the youngster made the all-important breakthrough for the Gunners in the 109th minute before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (117) sealed his side's place in Monday's fourth-round draw.
Aston Villa's academy youngsters produced a valiant effort as Liverpool survived a first-half scare to win 4-1 and progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
LIVERPOOL
Following a Covid outbreak in their first-team squad, Villa were forced to field an Under-23 side, and Sadio Mane headed the Premier League champions in front inside four minutes.
But Louie Barry equalised (41) memorably on the stroke of half-time to spark hopes of a fairy-tale result for Mark Delaney's young team.
Liverpool's superior quality told, however, as three quickfire second-half strikes from Georginio Wijnaldum (60), Mane (63) and Mohamed Salah (65) ensured there would be no stunning upset.
Scott McTominay's early header helped Man Utd beat Watford 1-0 to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

MANCHESTER UNITED
The Scotland midfielder, who was captaining his side for the first time, bounced a header into the roof of the net just five minutes into the third-round tie at Old Trafford.
And that ultimately proved to be the difference between the two teams as a much-changed United side held on to be in the hat for Monday's fourth and fifth-round draws.
BURNLEY
Burnley avoided an FA Cup upset with a 4-3 penalty shoot-out victory over League One MK Dons at Turf Moor.
The Dons led through Cameron Jerome's 29th-minute header and looked set to beat a Premier League team in the competition for just the second time but Burnley substitute Matej Vydra grabbed an equaliser in the final minute of injury time to make it 1-1.
Dons manager Russell Martin was then sent to the stands and two periods of extra-time did not yield a goal.
Vydra saw his opening spot-kick saved by the excellent Lee Nicholls but Burnley's debutant keeper Will Norris proved the hero with stops from Lasse Sorensen and Ben Gladwin before Phil Bardsley rolled in the winning penalty.
It meant a winning start to Burnley's new era following their takeover by American investors ALK Capital, although new chairman Alan Pace was forced to watch the match from home after a member of his household tested positive for coronavirus.
LEICESTER
Leicester advanced into the FA Cup fourth round in comfortable fashion as the Premier League high-fliers beat Stoke 4-0 at the bet365 Stadium.
James Justin put the Foxes in front with a fine strike in the 34th minute, shortly after Sam Vokes had missed a good chance to give the Championship hosts the lead.
Marc Albrighton doubled the advantage with a 59th-minute finish, Ayoze Perez made it 3-0 with 11 minutes of normal time to go, and Harvey Barnes added a fourth two minutes later.
While Leicester were without Jamie Vardy and James Maddison, who had been nursing injuries, boss Brendan Rodgers named a strong team as that pair being replaced by Perez and Dennis Praet were the only changes from the 2-1 win at Newcastle.
EVERTON
Everton needed an Abdoulaye Doucoure extra-time winner to see ohttps://atsisports.blogspot.com/2021/01/fa-cup-results-arsenal-liverpool-man.htmlff Rotherham 2-1 and avoid an FA Cup third-round upset at Goodison Park.
Carlo Ancelotti left out top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, but their replacements were second-best for much of the 120 minutes at Goodison Park.
Rotherham, with just one win in their previous nine games, made six changes of their own but looked far more cohesive and they deserved more than just Matt Olosunde's maiden senior goal for their efforts.
Cenk Tosun's first strike for Everton since November 2019 was cancelled out just after half-time by the former Manchester United academy graduate, who won a solitary cap for the United States in 2018.
Substitute Doucoure scored the eventual winner three minutes into the additional period but it was far from comfortable for Ancelotti's side, who progressed to the fourth round for only the second time in five seasons.
