UCL Draws: Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham get tough opponents as Virgil van Dijk clinches best defender prize

UCL Draws took place in Monaco ahead of the 2019-20 season as teams were put in their respective groups ahead of the new campaign.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid will have a replay of the quarter final of last season in Group D while Barcelona will lock horns with Inter Milan and Dortmund.


Liverpool will play Napoli, Salzburg, and Genk in Group C but Man City will contest against Shakhtar Donetsk, and Dino Zagreb.

Virgil van Dijk clinches the prestigious best defender prize

Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool centre-back, has clinched the prestigious best defender prize at the 2018/19 edition of UEFA awards held on Thursday, August 29, in Monaco, France.

The Dutchman cruised to a comfortable victory having beaten other football stars in the three-man list which contains Liverpool wonderkid Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ajax ex-man Matthijs de Ligt.
