France beat South Korea 4-0 to win the opening match of the 2019 Women's World Cup on Friday.
In front of a crowd of 45,261 fans at Parc des Princes in Paris, the hosts had little trouble controlling possession and tempo against a Korean side that had trouble against one of the tournament's favourites.

France opened up the scoring in the ninth minute when captain Amadine Henry sped down the right flank and cut it back for Eugenie Le Sommer's strike off the crossbar and into the net.
They thought they had scored a second in the 27th minute but Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled Griedge Mbock Bathy, who seemingly connected on a stellar volley, offside.
Les Bleues broked through again in the 35th minute on Wendie Renard's powerful header from a corner kick. She scored again in similar fashion right before halftime.
