Tottenham 1-3 Manchester City
Manchester City waltzed past Tottenham at Wembley to move within an inch of sealing the Premier League title.
City really came out of the traps as they looked to put a shocking ten days behind them.
Leroy Sane belted a volley that crashed against the post inside four minutes.
But Gabriel Jesus made no mistake in slotting past Hugo Lloris on 22 minutes after running on to a Vincent Kompany long ball.
And one became two a couple of minutes later after Lloris clattered into Raheem Sterling on the edge of his box.
Ilkay Gundogan smashed home the penalty to put City firmly in charge.
Spurs grew into the game, though, and Christian Eriksen saw his shot deflect wildly off Aymeric Laporte and past the grasp of Ederson for 1-2 on 42 minutes.
But Sterling was on hand to add the third in the 72nd minute when he pounced on a rebound to fire in.
Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth
Mohamed Salah scored again as Liverpool closed the gap on Manchester United in second to a single point with victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
It was the perfect way to celebrate their progression to the Champions League semi-finals thanks to a midweek win over Manchester City.
Sadio Mane scored at the second attempt on seven minutes after being picked out by an inch-perfect Jordan Henderson cross.
The Reds continued to attack with purpose but Bournemouth were resolute under the guidance of canny boss Eddie Howe.
And Salah notched his 30th EPL goal of the season on 69 minutes when he headed Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross beautifully over the befuddled Asmir Begovic.
Roberto Firmino added the gloss in the 90th minute when he took a touch and found the inside of the near post from the edge of the box.
Southampton 2-3 Chelsea
Chelsea stormed to a comeback win at Southampton to keep alive their fading Premier League top four ambitions.
The Blues shoved the limp Saints closer towards the drop with a trio of quickfire goals late on at St Mary’s.
It had all been going swimmingly in the Solent sunshine for boss Mark Hughes against his old club.
Dusan Tadic turned in the opener on 21 minutes after good work from ex-Chelsea man Ryan Bertrand.
One became two when Jan Bednarek slotted in at the far post on his full debut on the hour.
But the men in red and white capitulated.
Supersub Olivier Giroud pulled the first back on 70 minutes with a smart header from a Marcos Alonso cross.
Eden Hazard found enough space to lash past home keeper Alex McCarthy five minutes later.
And Giroud seized on a loose ball on 78 minutes to tuck away the third in front of the traveling Chelsea support.
Burnley 2-1 Leicester
Burnley clung on for a massive victory over Leicester in their charge for a Europa League place.
The hosts were ahead in the blink of an eye as Chris Wood forced past Kasper Schmeichel at the second time of asking.
And the Foxes were stunned again on nine minutes when Kevin Long popped up to head in Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s cross.
Leicester had been pushing and finally had one back on 72 minutes when Jamie Vardy finished emphatically after latching on to Kelechi Iheanacho’s sharp through ball.
Crystal Palace 3-2 Brighton
Crystal Palace came out on top thanks to a first half thriller against relegation rivals Brighton at Selhurst Park.
Wilfred Zaha scored from all of one centimetre out on five minutes when he knocked in from a Luka Milivojevic cross that really should have been cleared.
Defender James Tomkins then scrambled over the line on 14 minutes to make it two.
But the Seagulls replied as Palace old boy Glenn Murray hacked in on the line after Lewis Dunk had planted his free header towards goal.
Zaha is on fire this season, though, and was given all the time in the world to head in from six yards on 24 minutes.
Jose Izqueirdo took advantage of Joel Ward’s slip to reduce the gap to one again with a sweet finish.
Huddersfield 1-0 Watford
Huddersfield found a very late way past Watford to boost their battle to beat the drop.
Late home pressure threatened to cause the Hornets problems at the John Smith’s Stadium.
And it told when Tom Ince finished Mathias Jorgensen’s canny pull-back as the clock wound down.
Swansea 1-1 Everton
Swansea rescued a point from their clash at home to Everton on Saturday.
The Toffees went ahead in comical fashion just before half time.
Idrissa Gueye’s follow-up shot was parried away by Lukasz Fabianski – and then headed straight back past him by Kyle Naughton, with the ball just sneaking over the line before being hoofed away.
Jordan Ayew gave the Swans hope when he found a way past Jordan Pickford on 71 minutes.
