Manchester United moved level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after a 4-0 win over Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The two clubs lead the way on 13 points with an identical goal difference of 14 (16 goals scored and two conceded), while the defeat leaves Everton in the bottom three.

In the early fixture, Chelsea and Arsenal shared the points at Stamford Bridge.

The draw sees the champions move into third place in the table, three points behind the Mancunians, while Arsenal remain down in 12th.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United beat Everton 4-0 on Sunday on Wayne Rooney's return to Old Trafford.

United had a terrific start as Antonio Valencia opened the scoring in the fourth minute with an impressively powerful strike from outside the box.

Although Everton tried to hit back, United came strong late on with Romelu Lukaku passing to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who found the back of the net in the 84th minute.

Lukaku fired past Jordan Pickford to net against his old club and Anthony Martial converted an injury-time penalty to cap another enjoyable afternoon for Jose Mourinho's men.

CHELSEA 0-0 ARSENAL

Aserne Wenger was pleased with his team after they secured a goaless draw against Chelsea.

David Luiz was sent off as Gunners frustrated Antonio Conte's men ensuring that points on match day wad shared.

ANTONIO CONTE did joke the one thing he wanted was to finish this game with 11 men.

For the third time in as many games, Chelsea had a man sent off against Arsenal. This time it was David Luiz for a wild, high tackle on Sead Kolasinac in the 88th minute.

He followed Victor Moses, sent off in the FA Cup final, and Pedro, sent off in the Community Shield, and he can have no complaints.

At least Chelsea didn’t lose this time. But in truth they were lucky not to, with Arsenal the better team even before the red card.

It was the fourth time this season the Blues have had a player sent off, and that is something Conte will have to address.

MANCHESTER CITY WALLOPS WATFORD 6-0

Manchester City thrashed Watford 6-0 at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon to move top of the Premier league.

Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick for Manchester City, taking his record to nine goals in five against Watford.

Aguero underlined his class and his quality with the hat-trick and an assist for Gabriel Jesus, while Nicolas Otamendi and Raheem Sterling added the rest. To think he could have left City if they signed Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez during the transfer window.

Gabriel Jesus scored his side's third, this time following some clever build-up play by Aguero.

Nicolas Otamendi scored City's fourth before Raheem Sterling finished from the penalty spot.

The loss was Watford's first defeat of the season after an impressive start to the Premier League campaign
