Everton striker Romelu Lukaku will undergo his Manchester United medical in LA.
The Sun says United boss Jose Mourinho is close to completing a £75million swoop for Lukaku — to leave Chelsea fuming.
Lukaku, 24, was due to have an overnight medical at the UCLA campus in California ahead of his switch from Everton.
Old Trafford boss Mourinho will land the Belgian in a classic coup that blind-sided the Blues — with the striker agreeing a five-year deal worth £250,000 a week.
Chelsea believed as late as Thursday morning that Lukaku had set his heart on a return to Stamford Bridge.
The champions were waiting until they received an acceptable offer for want-away Diego Costa before moving for Lukaku.
But the Londoners were left stunned by Mourinho's swoop.
Lukaku, currently on holiday in Los Angeles with United star Paul Pogba, will now become the fourth-most expensive player in world football.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte 'fuming' about Romelu Lukaku agreeing Man Utd move - report
ANTONIO CONTE is reportedly "fuming" about Chelsea's failed attempts to sign Romelu Lukaku.
The Everton striker is Conte's top striker target to replace Diego Costa, who has been told he no longer has a future at Stamford Bridge.
But the chances of signing him are now slim with Manchester United hijacking their transfer.
Express Sport understands the Belgium international has agreed to join up with Jose Mourinho in a £75million deal.
And he is undergoing a medical in Los Angeles before putting pen to paper on a five-year deal worth £250,000-a-week.
The Daily Mirror claim this development has raised serious questions about Antonio Conte's future at Stamford Bridge.
Conte has been frustrated by Chelsea's lack of transfer activity this summer and is yet to sign a contract extension at the club until they make inroads in the transfer market.
It is said the former Juventus boss was left "fuming" by this latest blow and club officials spent yesterday trying to establish from Lukaku and his advisors whether there was any way back.
The Italian boss had apparently been in regular contact and was making tactical plans for next season with the striker in his starting line-up.
But this could put the icing on the cake for Conte after already failing with moves for Alexis Sanchez and Virgil van Dijk.
He is also struggling to get deals over the line for Alex Sandro and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The Daily Mirror adds there was genuine concern that Conte would leave the Premier League champions last month.
This was apparently due to the fall-out over Diego Costa, which saw Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo go "missing" for four days in an emergency mission to try and resolve the crisis.
