It was a good day for Arsenal fans on Saturday, as Arsenal totally destroyed David Moyes men, Sunderland in a 4-1 triller.

The Gunners were absolutely brilliant at the Stadium of Light and were totally dominant throughout.

They initial lead came through a header from Alexis Sanchez 19 minutes in.

However, after Petr Cech brought down Duncan Watmore inside the penalty area in the second half, Jermain Defoe levelled things up for Sunderland from the penalty spot.
Sunderland then looked as if they may put up a fight in the game until the introduction of Olivier Giroud.

Giroud bags brace

Olivier Giroud scored a brace to put the game to bed for Arsene Wenger’s side.

The Frenchman made an immediate impact from the bench, scoring the first of his two goals just 2 minutes after coming on.

He then scored a second just 5 minutes later with a trademark header.

Both goals were scored with his first two touches in the game too.

The Gunners took the lead through Alexis Sanchez early on before Jermain Defoe equalised from the penalty spot in the second half.

But an Olivier Giroud double and another from Sanchez made sure of a comfortable win for the travelling side.

The result saw Arsene Wenger's men go top of the league by three points before Man city regain top position after their victory in the late afternoon game.
