UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: DORTMUND HOLD REAL 2-2, LEICESTER BEAT PORTO 1-0 WHILE SPURS BEAT CSKA 0-1

Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League, with Andre Schurrle salvaging a point late on for the hosts.

Real Madrid were denied three points against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, after Andre Schurrle equalized with three minutes left, in their Champions League Group F fixture.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened scoring with his 98th goal in European competition, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang levelled for hosts. Raphael Varane gave the La Liga side the lead again, before Schurrle struck.

Islam Slimani scored the only goal, as English champions Leicester City beat FC Porto at the King Power Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur won 1-0 away at CSKA Moscow, Juventus hammered Dinamo Zagreb 4-0, Monaco were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Bayer Leverkusen and Sporting Lisbon claimed a 2-0 victory over Legia Warsaw.

Lyon lost 1-0 to Sevilla, while FC Koebenhavn crushed Club Brugge 4-0.

DORTMUND VS REAL MADRID

Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League, with Andre Schurrle salvaging a point late on for the hosts.

Andre Schurrle's late equaliser helped Borussia Dortmund claim a 2-2 draw against Group F rivals Real Madrid at the Westfalenstadion.

Ronaldo grabbed his 95th Champions League goal when his first-time effort beat Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki to give the visitors a 1-0 lead, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised just before half-time.

Raphael Varane restored Real's advantage in the second half but substitute Schurrle's late strike three minutes from time saw both sides share the spoils in an evenly contested encounter.

Madrid were looking for their first win in three games while Dortmund were riding on a four-game winning streak.

LEICESTER VS PORTO

Islam Slimani lived up to his nickname as gritty Leicester took control of Group G with a deserved 1-0 win over Porto.

Striker Slimani, labelled the Dragon Slayer after his run of goals against Porto, bagged his sixth goal of 2016 against them.

He had netted five in three games for previous club Sporting Lisbon against Porto before his £29 million deadline-day move to Leicester, and grabbed the winner against the Dragons as the Foxes hosted a Champions League game for the first time.

It left Leicester two points clear at the top of the table as they made it successive Champions League wins following their opening victory at Club Brugge.

Jesus Corona hit the post late on for Porto as the Foxes rode out late pressure and Copenhagen's 4-0 win over Brugge allowed the pair breathing space over their beaten rivals.

CSKA VS TOTTENHAM

Tottenham's Champions League campaign is up and running after Son Heung-Min scored his fifth goal in as many games to snatch a 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow.

Spurs dominated possession in the newly-built CSKA Arena but struggled to break down their resilient opponents until Son struck in the 71st minute to seal an invaluable three points.

The victory lifts Mauricio Pochettino's men up to second in Group E and only a point behind leaders Monaco, who drew 1-1 at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

SPORTING VS WAR

Sporting Lisbon are up and running in the Champions League after defeating Legia Warsaw 2-0 at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

First-half goals from former Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz and summer signing Bas Dost gave the Portuguese side their first victory in Group F following the heartbreaking loss at Real Madrid on match day one.

Legia, thrashed 6-0 at home by Borussia Dortmund two weeks ago, remain without a goal or a point ahead of daunting back-to-back matches with holders Real.
