The Argentine forward's first-half double sent City on their way to three points, with Nolito grabbing two of his own from the bench
Pep Guardiola took his cosmopolitan Manchester City side to the uncompromising and hostile environment of Stoke's newly-named bet365 Stadium for his second Premier League outing but emerged a comfortable victor.
England goalkeeper Joe Hart was once again left on the bench, with Willy Caballero starting ahead of him, as Guardiola looked to match local rivals Manchester United by maintaining a 100 per cent start to the season.
Stoke, who came from behind to draw 1-1 at Middlesbrough on the opening day of the season, were looking for a second successive home win over City after last term's emphatic 2-0 victory.
But a brace from hotshot Sergio Aguero and a second-half double from substitute Nolito ensured it was six points from six for the visitors.
Bojan netted from the spot for Stokes just after the break but it was inconsequential.
