Four-time Nigeria coach & NFF technical director Shaibu Amodu, has died at the age of 58.
The corpse of the late Nigeria Football Federation Technical Director and former Super Eagles Coach, Amodu Shaibu, has left the Stella Obasanjo Hospital in Benin in a convoy for his hometown, Okpella.
Amodu who died this morning in Benin City is scheduled for burial today according to Islamic rites.
His death, which comes three days after that of ex-Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, has shocked Nigerians, football fans, friends and associates who are paying tribute on the social media.
Amodu, 58, whose death was confirmed by the NFF, was said to have complained of chest pains on Friday night, and died in his sleep. His death comes just three days after his former colleague Stephen Keshi passed on.
The former FIFA and CAF instructor Onigbinde said: “Right now I’m confused, I don’t know what to say.”
During his coaching career, Amodu led BCC Lions of Gboko to a shock CAF Cup Winners Cup triumph in 1990
